Referee Terms

These Referee Terms apply when you use the Clutch Referee App. They add to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Grievance & Content-Takedown Policy, which also apply. Where these conflict with the Terms of Service on a referee-specific matter, these govern. By ticking "I agree" or using the app, you accept these Terms.

1. What the app does

You can see matches assigned to you by a Tournament Organiser and score them. Your scores may be shown on the live stream and used to run the tournament.

2. Your relationship is with the Organiser, not Clutch

2.1 You officiate for the Tournament Organiser who assigns you. Your engagement, any payment to you, and your obligations as a referee are between you and that Organiser.

2.2 Clutch provides only the technology you use to score. Clutch is not your employer, principal, or agent, has no working relationship with you beyond your use of the app, and does not pay you.

2.3 Clutch does not currently facilitate any payment to referees. If this changes in the future, additional terms will be shown to you before you use any such feature.

3. Scoring

3.1 You are responsible for scoring accurately, fairly, and impartially, and for following the Organiser's rules and the rules of the sport.

3.2 You grant Clutch a licence to use, display, and overlay the scores and related data you enter, to operate and provide the services, including on live streams.

4. Conduct

Be impartial and professional, respect players, organisers, and others, do not manipulate results, and keep your information accurate. The Acceptable Use rules in the Terms of Service apply to everything you do in the app.

5. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 to use the app. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.

6. Our role and limits

Clutch is a technology provider. We are not responsible for the Organiser's tournament, for your engagement or payment by the Organiser, for the conduct of players or others, or for any dispute between you and an Organiser or player. The disclaimers and limitation of liability in the Terms of Service apply.

7. Data

We handle your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Suspension and termination

Clutch may suspend or remove your access for breach, security, or legal reasons. Organisers control which matches are assigned to you.

9. Changes, governing law, and grievances

Changes, governing law, the preservation of your consumer rights, and the grievance process are as set out in the Terms of Service and the Grievance & Content-Takedown Policy. These Terms are published at the URL above and identified by version date; we will notify you in the app of any material change before it applies.
